Our Purpose

Mission

To help elect and support Clark County School Board Trustees who are professional,

principled and student-focused.

Goals

  • Identify and inspire diverse, qualified leaders to seek the role of School Board Trustee.

  • Help promising Trustee candidates win their elections through campaign support, voter activation, and network building.

  • Engage and educate the community about the impact the School Board has on children's education, and increase the Community's active participation in electing, supporting and holding accountable their Trustees.

  • Serve as an independent, trusted, experienced voice and advocate for effective school board governance and leadership.

Accomplishments and Ongoing Efforts

  1. Vetted all 22 candidates in the 2022 Primary Election and interviewed (via Zoom) 12 of the candidates.  All of our endorsed candidates moved on to the General Election and our supported candidate was successfully elected in District F.  ABC PAC aggressively raised almost $50,000 which was used on digital marketing to support our three endorsed candidates.

  2. Interviewed and vetted over 25 candidates in the 2020 primary election.  Ultimately, four candidates were recommended.   The outcome of the November 2020 election resulted in two of our recommended candidates being elected.

  3. Developed mentoring relationships with individual Board Members.

  4. Engaged with Community Leaders, Chambers of Commerce, and Education Support Groups to identify opportunities for a common goal, legislatively or otherwise for future educational enhancements in Southern Nevada.

  5. Observed and critiqued Board Meetings conducted by Trustees to provide constructive feedback.

  6. Actively soliciting qualified, professional candidates for the 2022 election cycle.

  7. Providing stakeholder outreach to educate the Community about the importance of School Board elections.
